DIY Wedding Extraordinaires!
This was only my second wedding of 2024 but blimey is this wedding season already on fire! Chloe & Liam were simple put… AMAZING!
They were relaxed, happy and simply buzzing to get married! Chloe did a crazy amount of work herself towards the wedding and considered herself a bit of a DIY Wedding Queen and i could not agree more, she smashed it!
The Ceremony was at St Johns Church in Hurst Green, and Reverand Brian McConkey held a loving, funny and very entertaining service.
After this Photographer Tom Benson and myself too Chloe & Liam off for a short walk at one of there favourite local locations to get some beautiful couple shots of them both.
The Wedding Reception was held at ABC Memorial Hall in Hurst Green and this is where Chloe’s DIY Wedding Skills were well and truly showcased! Not only had her and the family decorated the whole venue but they had arranged for epic pizzas from 112 Pizza… i am a HUGE pizza fan, but hand on heart this was the best pizza i had ever eaten at a wedding! And.. they turned up in an old fashioned converted fire truck! Wow!
Also on Food duties was Thatziki making what looked to be some incredible Greek Kebabs. I did not get the opportunity to try one but the line of people waiting never went down (some say there are guests still waiting to this very day!!) and the food served did look incredible!
DJ Danny Finn was on hosting duties for the day and also performed some great songs which entertained all the guests. There was also a nice surprise when The Ultimate Singing Waiters stumbled to action and got everything on there seats singing and dancing, it was great fun!
This was such an amazing day, one i will truly remember for ever!
The video above is a ‘Sneak Peak’ from the day that i delivered within 48 hours as a little tease of whats to come.
I had the privilege of working alongside a host of incredible suppliers, all of which i will list below:

A few facts about Hurst Green
The beautiful and idyllic village of Hurst Green is situated in the heart of the Ribble Valley.
The village is reputed to be haunted by the Highwayman Ned King, who is thought to be the ghostly figure seen riding through the village late at night. Numerous reports of the hauntings have been made throughout the years. In life he came to his end not far from the Punch Bowl Inn.
It is also the home of Stonyhurst College , a world famous Roman Catholic boys boarding college. The magnificent buildings are set in extensive parkland with two huge ponds that were excavated in 1696.
The college houses a wonderful museumcollection including a 7th century Gospel of St. John. Cromwell stayed here in 1648. In 1811 the building became the first public building to be lit by gas. Conan Doyle creator of Sherlock Holmes is among many famous ex scholars of the college. The college was the setting for the novel "The Hound of the Baskervilles". Hurst Green is the starting point for the Tolkien Trail.
